China Southern Airlines to Open Direct Shenzhen-Amsterdam Air Service
December 16, 2022 - China Southern Airlines is pleased to announce that it will open new direct air service from Shenzhen to Amsterdam starting January 2, 2023.
This exciting new service will be scheduled with flights every Monday from January 2 and additional flights every Wednesday from January 11, totaling two round-trip flights per week.
China Southern will deploy a wide-bodied Airbus A330 aircraft on this route with outbound service departing from Shenzhen at 1:50 and arriving in Amsterdam at 8:00 local time. The return flight will depart from Amsterdam at 14:10 local time and arrive in Shenzhen at 9:00 the next day.
Amsterdam is one of the major transit gateways to European countries, South America and North Africa.
China Southern's non-stop air service from Shenzhen to Amsterdam will be the first direct route from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport to the Netherlands and the first intercontinental route newly launched by China Southern in Shenzhen after COVID-19 pandemic restrictions were lifted.
This route will serve as an air bridge between Shenzhen and the Netherlands and connect more countries and regions to promote business exchanges and study tours.
Since 2021, China Southern has resumed normal operations of four international passenger routes from Shenzhen to Jakarta, Moscow, Dubai and Singapore.
