China Southern Fully Supports the 134th Canton Fair

       October 17, 2023 - The 134th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) is scheduled to be held in Guangzhou in three phases from October 15 to November 4, 2023. China Southern Air Holding Company Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Southern") has made meticulous arrangements and taken various measures to ensure flight support during the Canton Fair.

       The Ground Handling Division of China Southern has formulated flight support and service plans in advance, strengthened personnel training, allocated resources, enhanced information sharing mechanism, and established a Canton Fair support team to facilitate the information flow among the airports of departure, transfer, and destination and further ensure the smooth operation of flights.

       China Southern has set up dedicated check-in counters for the Canton Fair at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and installed special flight displays for these counters. It has also added on-demand counters for the Canton Fair, strengthened self-service check-in guidance and set up check-in counters for additional luggage. Besides, it has cooperated with Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to set up exclusive security lines for Canton Fair participants, facilitating their check-in and boarding. The carrier has added multi-functional counters in the international check-in area to offer information services and provide boarding guidance to Canton Fair participants. Moreover, it has strengthened staff training of the 144-hour visa-free transit policy, and arranged two mobile guides every day in the entry and exit areas to provide passengers with assistance as necessary and help them with quick customs clearance.

      The international cargo terminal of China Southern Air Logistics has assigned personnel dedicated to service support, process simplification, and policy guidance to provide customers with professional Q&A services and assist enterprises in quick cargo inspection and customs clearance to facilitate their preparations for the Canton Fair. Recently, China Southern Air Logistics has delivered nearly 10 tons of household appliances to Guangzhou and successfully supported the transportation of these exhibits at the Canton Fair.
