China Southern Launches 15-Minute Smart Boarding Service on Guangzhou-Beijing Daxing Round-Trip Route
(July 8, 2025, Guangzhou) China Southern launched an Instant Boarding service on its Guangzhou-Beijing Daxing round-trip route on July 8. The service eliminates traditional check-in counter deadlines, allowing passengers to complete security checks and reach the boarding gate as late as 15 minutes prior to the scheduled takeoff time.
The new service, designed to meet passenger needs, leverages smart technology and operational upgrades to break from the industry norm of finishing check-in 30–40 minutes before departure and reduces the limitations of conventional check-in cut-off time on changing flights. It offers greater convenience for last-minute travelers, frequent business flyers, and passengers who catch morning/evening flights, enabling them to adjust their schedules with higher flexibility.
The Instant Boarding service is an upgrade from the China Southern Air Shuttle service, offering classic benefits such as priority check-in counters, dedicated security lanes, and expedited baggage claim. Passengers can enjoy a hassle-free experience from the terminal entry to the boarding gate.
Notably, for passengers with checked baggage, the check-in deadline for this route remains 30 minutes before departure. If passengers arrive later than the deadline, China Southern will arrange for the baggage to be transported on a subsequent flight, or passengers can opt for the paid "Baggage to Home" service as guided by on-site staff to have their luggage directly delivered to home.
China Southern advises passengers with special needs, including passengers in wheelchairs, individuals with limited mobility, first-time flyers, unaccompanied children, the pregnant, and passengers traveling with infants or children, to allow ample time for travel. A dedicated service area is available to enhance their experience and minimize wait time.
